Event Description:
Join us in rescuing the native habitat by removing invasive plant species at Jackson Property Saturday, December 2nd, 9am-noon. Invasive plants out compete our native species which our animals depend upon for food. No experience needed. We will teach you to identify the invasive plants.
We will be using hand tools to remove, drag, and stack invasive plant species.
To join the fun, pre-registration is required. Please wear sturdy, closed toe shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Staff will provide gloves, tools and first aid kit with sunscreen and insect repellent.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Per Department Policy, this opportunity is not available for court appointed or suggested community service hours.
