Keep Calm

Learning English as a Refugee Immigrant means a lot more than simply learning words. Learning English also means learning cultural norms. Learning English also means learning how to read incoming mail, paying bills, calling school to say that your kids are sick, etc.

These are all things our clients learn while attending our ESL classes. We host ESL classes multiple days a week for our Adult Refugee Clients. Unfortunately, not everyone can attend these classes. Adults with babies cannot attend these classes because our classes do not have childcare. Adults that work during the hours of our classes can not attend them either. And lastly, adults that are recovering from surgery, or who are unable to transport themselves, they are unable to attend the classes either.

It is very difficult to navigate one's self in this country without English. Imagine taking your kids to school and not speaking English. Imagine working in the US without knowing your cultural norms. Imagine being unable to transport yourself to free classes designed to make your life easier. For these reasons we ask you to connect with us to help these families and individuals.

We ask that you meet 4 hours a month, and we ask for a commitment of 6 months to a year.

Please reach out if you feel called to help,

Thank you.
