We need volunteers for 2 hour shifts, during the date range shown.

We need volunteers to support lessons on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday.

Sign up for (1) 2 hour shift on any of the days listed, during the times of 11:00am to 7:00pm Tue/Wed and from 8:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday.

No experience necessary, we offer comprehensive training and mentoring.

Your help is needed to provide students with a disability, learn to care, ride and love horses!

Verde View Equestrian Center (VVEC) is a non-profit organization. A unique facility, staffed by certified Path Intl. instructors designed to promote independent riding while catering to the needs of differently able riders using horses to heal and promote the belief that all equine activities are therapeutic for individuals of any ability. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of children and adults with physical, intellectual or social disabilities, as well as those who wish to learn about horses and riding in a therapeutic environment.The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, International is a global authority, resource and advocate for equine-assisted activities and therapies and the equines in this work that inspire and enrich the human spirit.

Description

Verde View Equestrian Center offers progressive riding and horsemanship lessons to individuals with a physical, emotional and intellictuable disability. We operate year round from a state of the art, accessible, purpose built facility set on 60 experiental acres serving individuals and their families from Central New York and Northern Pennsylvania.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our mission and we offer comprehensive training, continued training and mentor support. Together, we can make a difference!
