Be part of the winning team that's ending capital punishment in PA.
We need to learn more about decision-makers and what matters to them. The info is out there, just not always easy to find. The research requires tenacity. Once you find the information, you'll need to enter it without error into a spreadsheet so that we can figure out what it all means.
If you enjoy searching for the proverbial needle in the haystack, you'll love this. If typos and misspellings leap off the screen and throttle you for attention, this will be your happy place. If you're good at those pattern recognition tests, this is your jam.
If you get twitchy or bored with granular detail, this would be miserable for you. If detailed organizing seems excessive to you, this isn't for you.
If you're still interested, email your resume and the specific day(s) and time(s) that you are available. Next step will be a zoom conversation to see if we'd be a good match.
About Pennsylvanians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty
PO Box 21373, York, PA 17402, US
Pennsylvanians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (PADP) is a grassroots organization dedicated to ending capital punishment in Pennsylvania. We believe that there are safe and fair alternatives to executions. PADP organizes Pennsylvania citizens through direct outreach and community education. By mobilizing a powerful network of individuals and groups, we are implementing a comprehensive strategy designed to put a stop to executions.
PADP members engage in activism, advocacy, and outreach with the goal of ending capital punishment. Our members have come to their opposition to the death penalty for many reasons -- concern about executing an innocent person; their faith traditions; the devastating impacts on families of murder victims;lack of deterrence; racial and economic bias; exorbitant costs; and big government. We host speakers who have been impacted personally such as those who wree wrongly convicted, and sentenced to death, families of murder victims, faith leaders; attorneys; and law enforcement professionals. We write letters to the editor, op-eds, blog posts, and articles. We create audio, video, and other content for traditional and social media. We collaborate with a wide variety of organizations and individuals. Together, we will put an end to the death penalty.
