Breast Cancer Awareness and Outreach

This class is for breast cancer survivors, co-survivors or those just passionate about building awareness and reducing the impacts of breast cancer. Please join us for lunch and learning at Komen 101.

By the end of the class you will be able to:

  • Describe current breast cancer incidence and mortality trends in the U.S
  • Define breast cancer
  • Name the two most common risk factors for breast cancer
  • Explain the value of clinical trials
  • State at least one resource for breast cancer information
  • State at least one breast self-awareness action you plan to take personally
  • Share the information with at least one person you care about
This class will help you to understand the work done by Susan G. Komen Puget Sound and Susan B. Komen nationally.

After taking the class you will be eligible to be put on our volunteer list for volunteer opportunities in your area.

Please join us - be sure to RSVP so that we have enough lunch for all. If you have dietary restrictions be sure to let us know.
