You can make a difference in a girl’s life! Girl Scouts of Western Ohio has many opportunities for adult volunteers to show girls that they are capable of more than they ever imagined. Use your knowledge and strengths to mentor girls in your community.

You can lead a troop, help at camps or come in and teach girls about things you are passionate about. Girl Scouts understands hectic lifestyles and demands on your time. We have volunteer opportunities that range from one day, to 6 weeks, to a full year. If you’re working directly with a group of girls, you and the girls decide when and how frequently you’ll meet, making it very easy to fit into busy schedules!

All interested volunteers will be contacted within two weeks to begin the registration process and to find the best opportunity based on interest, skills and abilities and schedule. Feel free to contact us to speed up the process! Contact Customer Care at 888-350-5090.

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Description

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
