Position Summary

The intern will work closely with our Clinical Quality Team to ensure that our patients are receiving the care that they need. The intern will help patients navigate community and healthcare services, follow up with patients on the phone about their healthcare home plans, assist with health education and more. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly in a health care setting, network with professional health care specialists and develop necessary skills to pursue a health care career while learning the fundamental mission, structure and operation of People's Center Clinics & Services.

Minimum Requirements:

- Comfortable working directly with patients
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Interest in health care and/or administration
- Fluency in Somali or Oromo a plus, but certainly not required

Time Commitment:

- 15-20 hours per week
- Monday-Friday
