There is a minimum of 8 hours per month, including our 2-hour monthly meetings. Studies have shown that doing volunteer work in chunks of at least 6 hours is optimal and 100 hours of volunteering a year optimizes the health benefits, such as reporting increased happiness.

Responsibilities include:

• Fundraising: Each Associate Board member donates upwards of $1,000 and fundraises upwards of $1,000 each year. Many Associate Board members set even higher goals and we encourage you to set goals that will challenge you. Before officially joining the Associate Board, a prospective member donates upwards of $1,000.
• Promotion of Willpowered Woman in the larger community. This includes finding opportunities to connect the organization with funders, individual donors, corporate giving, and businesses where we can offer our talks, lectures and classes to employees.
• Strategic planning.
