Volunteers are what keep us running. In order to grow our small nonprofit, we are looking for dedicated, experienced and fun-spirited folks to serve as our Human Resource Coordinators, to manage volunteers and interns for both structured needs over a period of time as well as on-the-spot / one-off general help.
Some examples of past and future volunteer coordination needs:
- Fundraisers (either physical, online, or both) originated by our organization or in conjunction with other partners
- Labor to gather, move and drive a quantity of Cardborigami shelters to a site
- Overnight volunteers to help supervise and run a pilot, outdoor emergency shelter alongside partners
- Tabling at community events
- soliciting new volunteer roles, as needed, via both in-person and online settings
- utilizing and maintaining resource tools like VolunteerMatch
- creating volunteer engagement documents and managing other related paperwork, as required
- managing internship onboarding paperwork & exit survey
- coordinating general and function-specific training
- tracking volunteer hours and performance
- ensuring volunteer onsite safety when they are doing work on behalf of the organization
- leading and enacting various ways to acknowledge volunteers
