Church Planting - Boise, ID
Volunteer Church Planter Team-Members Needed / The Boise Tabernacle Church.
We're seeking volunteer members to form a Christian church planting team in Boise, Idaho. Specifically, we're seeking to develop a volunteer group of spiritually mature Christians who would like to participate in a long-term work of planting a new church made up of new believers.
OBJECTIVE: To establish a group of 10 to 20 Christians who want to team-up and play a role in a long-term vision aimed at birthing a new church from new believers. The church will be called The Boise Tabernacle Church and will be Christian non-denominational.
TIME COMMITTMENT: Approximately 3 to 5 hours weekly (mostly Tuesday and Wednesday evenings to start; with flexible evangelistic outreach at other times during the week/weekend).
DETAILS: We're prayerfully seeking to begin a Tuesday evening mid-week fellowship/church planting group made-up of spiritually mature Christians, of all ages, who have recently felt a stirring to be a part of a long-term non-denominational church plant in the Boise Idaho area.
To start, this group will begin meeting Tuesday evenings (for prayer, fellowship, planning and action), and assisting with discipleship of new believers on Wednesday evenings (along with flexible evangelistic outreach efforts at other times during the week/weekend).
Again, this group of volunteers would consist primarily of those with a stirring for being part of something Long-Term , because the ultimate goal here is NOT to become to open another "church organization" and improperly lure growing disciples from other fellowships come in town. Rather, the ultimate goal of our church planting group will be to reach the unreached in Boise with the good news message of Jesus Christ in order to establish a group (local church) of brand-new born again believers through the sharing of the gospel and subsequent discipleship. This will take time; it will be a long-term work of God (but, it will be exciting and spiritually challenging).
In short, The Boise Tabernacle Church will be start from scratch, beginning with a group of passionate spiritually mature Christians who have a heart to be a part of God's work in drawing the unreached into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and seeing these new believers matured into strong disciples through the transformation that comes by God's Holy Spirit.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be a spiritually mature follower of Jesus Christ.
IF YOU'RE INTERESTED: If you're a spiritually mature Christian are you're interested in joining others who are likewise stirred to be a part of a long-term church plant, please apply through this posting. Please provide your contact information and, at minimum, a brief description of why you're interested in joining the team.
IMPORTANT NOTE: For those who are serious, please be prepared to provide a write-up that will include (1) a brief bio about yourself and your walk with God; (2) a summary of your understanding of the Gospel and discipleship; (3) a brief discussion about God's call for you to possibly be a part of a church plant. You may provide this information when responding to this posting, or you will be requested to forward it on by email later.
BRIEFLY ABOUT ME: My name is Brandon Beckham; I've been a follower of Christ for 18 years (I'm 38 years old) and have a full-time job. My wife and I have been married for going on 15 years, we have three children (ages 13, 11, and 6).
I feel a strong urgency to begin moving towards a long-term plant of The Boise Tabernacle Church here in Boise that will be focused on spreading the Gospel and seeing new believers grown into spiritually mature disciples.
My theology is similar to that of Pastor Jim Cymbala (http://www.brooklyntabernacle.org) and my church background has primarily been with Calvary Chapel churches.
I look forward to seeing God work and meeting those who He brings along to be a part of the team. Thank you for your interest!
