VADF

The VAD Foundation was awarded a grant for Google Adwords earlier this year ago and while it has increased our traffic greatly, we do not believe we are taking full advantage of it yet.

We are looking for a volunteer with experience in SEO and Google Adwords, and interest in international development, human rights, education, women and girls empowerment, and equality, to help us manage and take our Adwords use to the next level.

MISSION
Established by Valentino Achak Deng and Dave Eggers, the VAD Foundation aims to empower South Sudanese communities by increasing access to quality secondary education, improving girls’ education, creating new teacher-training programs, and promoting literacy for children, women, and men. The VAD Foundation is creating the future leaders of a peaceful and thriving South Sudan.

Mission Statement

The Valentino Achak Deng Foundation is a nonprofit organization working to increase access to education in post-conflict South Sudan by building schools, libraries, teacher-training institutes, and community centers.

Description

The Marial Bai Secondary School opened in May 2009. It is the first fully-functional high school in the entire region, where there are no other opportunities for students--and especially girls--to continue their education past the elementary level. In spring 2010, we constructed a girls' dormitory, to provide a safe learning environment and an alternative to early marriage for hundreds of young women in the region.
