Sussex County Habitat ReStore - We need volunteers in Lewes and Georgetown! You don't have to hammer nails on a Habitat construction site to make a difference! ReStore volunteers do plenty to advance our housing ministry, too. Can you help us receive donations, price and merchandise product, and assist customers with purchasing? In as little as one four-hour shift per week, you'll help us realize our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our Lewes ReStore is open Mon-Fri. 10am - 5pm and Saturdays from 8am - 3pm. Reason for the recruitment: Habitat for Humanity at Sussex County and other affiliates around the country rely on the goodwill of volunteers to help achieve one of its objectives, which is to provide affordable housing. With the COVID-19 Pandemic, Sussex County's Habitat regular volunteers have been impacted, and thus the call to action to people that want to help build houses. The ReStore provides needed funds and opportunities for the local community to help out, volunteers are needed to fill out the missing gaps of staff.
With Covid-19, precautions have been enacted to ensure the safety of the volunteers and staff.

SCHFH is an affilliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We seek to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. To accomplish these goals, we invite people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.
Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1976 by Millard Fuller, along with his wife, Linda. Today, we have built over 300,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1.5 million people in 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter.
