An attorney with nonprofit/corporations experience needed to consult very briefly with a community-service organization. We are a group based in New Jersey.
We are a group of people who come together to do community service. In the course of this, we have become friends. But now, we have been asked to expand in a state other than where we currently operate and we need to find out what steps we should take to make this happen.
We could either speak with an attorney by phone, or all of our work can be done over email. We think that what we need could be accomplished in one exchange, but would lean to the attorney's advice.

The mission of MJHS is to aid in the provision of quality education and sound character building programs for young people.
Description
Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
