About

Volunteers aid refugee families in every aspect of obtaining and keeping employment. Tasks may include:


  • Working with family members and coordinating with DARA’s Education committee tutors to create résumés, complete job applications, and register for job search websites

  • Aiding family members in scheduling job interviews and accompanying them to such as needed

  • Working with DARA’s Education committee tutors to help prepare family members for specific interviews and for being able to complete paperwork after being hired

  • Liaising with employers and family members during the orientation period of a new job

  • Networking with area employers about hiring refugees, and maintaining a list of potential employment contacts
