ChickTech is a multi-generational community supporting women and girls to become technology creators.
We are looking for a Director of Volunteer Outreach for the Houston chapter to continue building the ChickTech High School program.
This is a lead position and the ideal candidate should be comfortable with monthly time commitment for meetings, workshops planning, interviewing other volunteers in order to run a successful educational program for high school girls. The program is based on monthly workshops (one full day, once a month on a Saturday) ran by partnering organizations or subject matter experts volunteering with us. You will be serving as the liaison between ChickTech, workshop participants, workshop organizers, SME's, etc., reporting to the Houston Chapter Director.

Description
ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
