WANTED!
Old Town San Diego State Historical Park is currently looking for experienced woodworking volunteers to help in our 1850s woodshop. Here you will find no power tools, just vintage hand tools. The woodworking guild builds items needed for the museums and personal projects all the while talking to park guests about the history of woodworking in early California. Thinking about volunteering? Interested in early San Diego history? Do you like to dress up in 1850s period clothing? Then Old Town San Diego State Historic Park or San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park might be the place for you! We are currently looking for volunteers and volunteer families who are out going, have great people skills and have a love for history. Our Volunteer in the Park program has many great opportunities for the whole family such as quilting, period cooking, blacksmithing, wood working and museum host to just name a few.
