DARA has a number of positions available assisting refugee families in the following areas: acculturation, education, employment, healthcare, translation, and transportation.

There are opportunities to work both directly with refugee families and behind the scenes.

DARA also has opportunities in communications and outreach, community affairs, fundraising, online presence, public relations, etc. If you would like to volunteer, we can find a place for you.

Danbury Area Refugee Assistance (DARA) is a nonprofit organization that resettles refugee families, providing advocacy and support as they work toward self-sufficiency to become productive members of our community.

Description

DARA works in the Greater Danbury, Connecticut area to resettle refugee families in our community. We’re a group of neighbors - strangers to one another before our first meeting in October of 2015 - working together to help the displaced.
