Make-A-Wish Seeking Volunteers for Wish Upon a Chef
Our Wish Upon a Chef event is quickly approaching! This event is a culinary themed dinner party featuring the best area chefs competing in 4 different courses, while raising funds to grant more wishes! The signature dishes prepared by each of our participating chefs are served table-side with entertainment from celebrity hosts and silent and live auction items. This event will take place on November 30th from 6:00 - 9:30 pm at the UNCW Burney Center in Wilmington. We have LOTS of volunteer spots open for Table Servers, Drink Servers, and Parking Attendants. Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Description
Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses who are referred to us between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 years of age. Our Wish Kids live in our 49-county service area. Once a child is eligible, volunteers and staff take care of every detail to grant that child's most heartfelt wish. We serve approximately 200 wish kids a year and have over 300 volunteers across our territory helping us to grant each wish. Our office is located in Raleigh, in the North Hills area.
