We were recently given grant funds to begin a Music & Memory Program that runs out of our Aging Program in Licking County. We have all of the equipment and have already branched out to other local agencies to get them started as well.
What we are in need of is a dedicated Volunteer that would be willing to be trained in the program and then meet with nursing directors and activity directors from facilities in the area to get them started using the program as well.
You should be available about 5 hours a week and up to 20 hours a month, willing to be trained in the program, and able to drive to other locations to meet with new recipients of materials. This program was designed for individuals with varying degrees of Memory loss and mostly older adults. Previous experience in healthcare or in Older Adult services would be a definite plus.
