About

Ohio SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol) is a project of Pro Seniors, a non-profit organization offering free legal and long term care advice to older adults. Ohio SMP volunteers educate seniors about Medicare fraud and identity theft to help keep them safe from these crimes. They do this through presentations and handing out literature at events seniors attend. To be successful, volunteers participate in online or in person training. Our volunteer opportunities typically occur Mon.-Fri., 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This volunteer work is critical to the well-being of older adults since this is the most targeted group by fraudsters.

Although experience in public speaking and providing presentations is helpful, it is not required.
