Join Kansas City WildLands at the annual red cedar tree event! This is our fourth year at Mildale Farm in southwest Johnson County. This is a fun and festive volunteer opportunity! There will be several jobs/shifts available, from moving trees to helping patrons tie them on to cars to helping dole out hot cider and cookies. KCWL volunteers always make this a wonderful event for the hundreds of families who come out to cut a native Christmas tree while helping restore a prairie... come be part of it!
The event is open to the public between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Generally, volunteer shifts will be 3 hours, between the timeframe of 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM. All volunteers must register in advance by contacting Linda Lehrbaum at 816-561-1089, or email linda@bridgingthegap.org.
This workday is in partnership with Johnson County Parks and Rec Dept. Mildale Farm is located at 35250 W 199th St, Edgerton, KS 66021. For more event information, copy and paste the following url into your browser: https://bridgingthegap.org/kansas-city-wildlands/cedar-tree-event/
