Volunteer with Heartland Tree Alliance to plant street trees in the northland! These trees will shade the street and sidewalk, provide stormwater retention and pollutant filtration from the air and water. They will also provide numerous economic value to the neighborhood increasing property values, reducing crime rates and even slowing traffic.
No prior tree planting experience is necessary. Tools and equipment will be provided. Min age: 14, with adult supervision.

Bridging The Gap (BTG) educates citizens, businesses and governments about the impact their decisions have on our environment. We help them follow through with direct action to make our world, region and community green, healthy and sustainable.
BTG does this by working to create awareness of our environment and the need to make our communities sustainable at every level and in all life activities -- in homes, workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. In all of our work, we seek to create partnerships among governments, businesses, community leaders and individuals to improve our community by making it healthy and sustainable for our future.
