Snow way-December is almost here! Temperatures will be dropping, snow will be falling, and Jack Frost will be nipping at your nose. It may be cold outside, but it’s still a hot month for events at WGBH. During this merry and eventful season, we hope that you will consider giving WGBH the gift of your valuable time during upcoming events.

Monday, December 4: Insider Screening: Social Media 101

Location: WGBH Studios

Description: Guests will explore the WGBH social media landscape with Tory Starr, WGBH Director of Social Media and her colleagues from around the foundation. Whether you are online savvy or are a computer novice, this social media event will provide a great introduction to the work our social media content producers contribute to our online platforms. Tory Starr, WGBH Director of Social Media and her colleagues from around the foundation will outline the traditional use of social media for attendees and share examples of how social media allows us to have a direct conversation and connection with our viewers and fans by soliciting feedback and engagement for our different productions. They will also share original programming WGBH is developing for social media with guests, including real world examples of social media platforms like Facebook Watch, Snapchat shows, social live streaming and a brief introduction to the major types of social video (Stories, short form video, live, 360, etc). There will also be some time for guests to ask your social media questions.

Position/Shifts: Registration using an iPad (6:30-9pm), Food Host (6:45-9:30pm), Greeter (6:30-9pm), Usher/Mic Holder (6:30-9pm), Photographer (6:45-9pm)
