Deck the Park with Boughs and some jolly winter fun! Spend a festive morning at Redmond’s Hartman Park planting evergreen trees and groundcovers during prime planting weather. Hot coco and cookies provided, and feel free to bring some carols to share (or whistle) while we work!
Time: 9:30am - 12:30pm
Park address/location: Hartman Park - 17300 NE 104th St, Redmond, WA 98052
Where to meet and park: East Parking Lot -10310 176th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052
What to bring: Water bottle, a snack if you want one, and tough clothes, and shoes that can get dirty (because they will). Closed-toed shoes are required. Remember to check the weather and bring appropriate layers and rain gear as needed.

All ages welcome. If you are a volunteer between 15 and 18 years old and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please bring this waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

Description
Forterra conserves land by working with individuals, companies and local governments. We strive to maximize the ecological value of land, while meeting the needs of landowners. We may accept land as a donation, purchase it, or transfer it to public ownership. We often serve as a broker to identify and negotiate the most effective ownership to protect important lands. We establish conservation easements to preserve special features. For each and every property, we explore available strategies or create new ones to provide permanent protection. Forterra has established a Conservation Agenda for our region, with specific priorities and methods for each type of landscape. Current initiatives include the protection of working forests on the foothills of the Cascades, and the creation of salmon sanctuaries along our region's highest quality rivers and streams.
