We have a client in need of basic computer skills (how to access her email on a computer, email formatting, how to search for directions, how to apply for a job online, formatting a word document for a resume or cover letter). This opportunity would take place every other Saturday at 11am at Reston Regional library hopefully beginning December 9. For more information please contact Lauren at Laurenb@christianrelief.org

Mission Statement

The Mission of Safe Places is to provide families who are homeless as a result of domestic violence with safety and shelter while empowering them to break the cycle and live free of abuse.

Description

We provide 24-month transitional housing to families who are homeless as a result of domestic violence. We empower survivors of domestic violence through :

  • Strength-based case management
  • Individual financial counseling
  • The goal of self-sufficiency
  • Affordable housing search assistance
  • Referrals for services such as abuse counseling, legal aid, and immigration
