Seeking volunteer board members and advisory board members for the PS I Love You Foundation located in Redondo Beach, CA. PSILY has been providing social and emotional learning programs for at-risk youth in Title 1 schools in the Los Angeles area for the past 20 years. The communities we serve include but are not limited to: Watts, Hawthorne and Carson.
We are seeking business and educational professionals and leaders within the communities we serve that have a commitment for improving the emotional and social well-being of at-risk youth.
Our board is responsible for fund-raising, development and the strategic growth of the capacity of our nonprofit organization.
Requirements: 3-5 years or more nonprofit board experience or Executive Director of a Charity or Nonprofit
Experience on or chair of any of the following committees: Governance, Nominating, Development, Fundraising, Finance and Strategic Planning.
Time Required: Board meetings are monthly. Most board members commit at least 5-10 hours in addition to the board meetings each month to assist with development, fund-raising, community outreach and strategic development of the board.

Description
For over 20 years, PS I Love You Foundation has been positively impacting the lives of thousands of youth through our proprietary and time-tested 12-week SEL curriculum programs. To date, we have:
* Partnered with school districts, principals and teachers for the benefit of their students
* Inspired over 17,000 youth in under-served communities with our program
* Trained PSILY Program Instructors serving over 400 classrooms
* Organized 20 Annual Day at the Beach Community Events uniting over 140,000 at-risk children and caring mentors
