Devenio is a Latin word meaning "to come to, to arrive at, to reach". What better way to describe what we do? Located in the DC Metro area, Devenio, Inc. works with local and national disability groups to connect to their communities and inspire each other. We work with these groups to reach the full potential both for the organization, its members and its community.

We are seeking new members for our Board of Directors to support and collaborate on current and future projects and to drive the direction of the organization. Currently, Devenio, Inc. has founded and manages the Race4Respect 5K & 1K Kids Dash, the only dedicated event for Down Syndrome Awareness in the nation's capital, FUN BUNCH, a soccer team and program for children with special needs and Devenio in Motion, a year round dance performance group for teens and adults with developmental and cognitive disabilities. All of our programs are expanding and we need members of our BOD who want to get involved in supporting the growth.

Devenio's board is a working board, with our founder recently moving into the Executive Director position. Skillsets that would be beneficial to our programs and initiatives are: marketing, accounting, education, grant writing, social media/e-communication specialist and anyone who is an out of the box thinker.

Board meetings are every other month, and held in Bethesda, MD or sometimes via conference call depending on timing, events and scheduling.
