Ridgeview Medical Center is looking for certified Pet Therapy dog teams to visit patients in various areas of the hospital.
Dog handlers must complete Ridgeview's volunteer orientation process (health screen, background check/fingerprint and orientation paperwork). The Pet Therapy team must be certified by a reputable testing/certification organization. The dog's current pet certification and vaccination records need to be provided initially and when updated. Those who are interested may also complete hospice training in order to visit hospice patients living in private homes or in care facilities in our service area.
