As we aim to continue to provide the best possible service to our network, City Harvest is seeking a volunteer to provide Spanish lessons to 20-30 members of our staff. Volunteers should commit to a one-hour lesson during regular business hours for 8-10 weeks at our Midtown Manhattan office on E 32nd St, should be fluent in Spanish, and should preferably have teaching experience. Volunteers should be energetic, engaging, and able to prepare and present an organized lesson for beginner and intermediate speakers. These classes will help equip our staff with the skills to communicate with community members across New York City who benefit from the work that City Harvest does.

Mission Statement
City Harvest exists to end hunger in communities throughout NYC. We do this through food rescue and distribution, education and other practical, innovative solutions.
Description
City Harvest is New York City’s largest food rescue organization, helping to feed the nearly 1.2 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables. We will rescue more than 77 million pounds of food this year and deliver it, free of charge, to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, and other community partners across the five boroughs. Our programs empower individuals through nutrition education, increase our partners’ capacity, and strengthen the local food system, helping New Yorkers who are experiencing food insecurity to access, afford, and consume nutritious food.
