The Mansfield Public Library is looking for friendly, energetic and patient volunteers to assist with our weekly children's storytimes.
Storytime for Tots (18 months-3 years old) is every Tuesday at 10:30am and includes 30 minutes of books, songs, rhymes and play. Our Baby Storytime (0-18 months) is every Friday at 10:30am and focuses on building early literacy and listening skills.
Storytime Assistant Volunteer responsibilities would include:
- Assisting Children's Librarian with storytime set-up
- Helping the Children's Librarian pass out supplies during storytime
- Gently redirecting busy toddlers during storytime if necessary
- Helping Children's Librarian set out toys for Friday's Family Place Playtime after storytime
