OPERATION COOKIE RUN
NEEDS YOUR HELP!

We need:
- Volunteers venture out to bring cookies, hot cocoa, and coffee to first responders/emergency service departments (EMS/FD/SAR/PD/etc.) that are working the holiday shift

- Donations of sealed, store-purchased soft-baked cookies (for safety reasons, we cannot accept homemade goods), hot chocolate (preferably large containers of powder), coffee (sealed grounds)

- Donated paper/recyclable cups (for hot beverages), lids, non-sugar and sugar sweeteners, zip-lock bags (freezer)

- If you or someone you know is a caterer/owns a bakery we may accept those goods provided we arrange with the management to accept baked goods from a licensed/permitted establishment.

- First Responders & Supervisors in Westchester County, NY, reach out to us to participate!
- Agencies in NYC, LI, and across America are welcome to encourage their residents to join in the support of their local first responders

Volunteers can deliver cookies, cocoa, and cheer to first responders from Northern Westchester Time: 12pm 12/24 in front of Lincolndale Firehouse (on tarmac)

IN THE BRONX: FDNY Engine 52/Ladder 52 at 4550 Henry Hudson Parkway East Christmas Eve 12pm-2pm delivery - Participation is per Lieutenant Gil

Mission Statement

Make effective and efficient use of resources allocated. Train, certify, and deploy volunteers nationwide. Provide Disaster Relief, Responder Support, and Search and Rescue response services at no cost to survivors or responders. Provide ongoing education in all aspects of the Emergency Management Cycle, including a national preparedness outreach program. Research advance Search and Rescue technologies, severe weather, natural & manmade disasters, and implement mitigation as appropriate. Provide emergency communications (EMCOMM) to afflicted areas, including cellular signal boosters and satellite capabilities. Implement the Incident Command System, integrating and collaborating with local, state, and national organizations and agencies. Provide "Always-On-Call" specially-outfitted. All-Hazards Response vehicles and highly trained Task Force members. (Rapid Response) Fulfill the roles of various Emergency Support Functions (ESF’s) as appropriate.

Description

U.S.V.E.M. is a Non-Government, Not-for-Profit, domestic humanitarian "All-Hazards" organization driven by highly dedicated and trained volunteers.
National Incident Management System and Incident Command System utilized, fully implemented. NIMS/ICS Compliant per DHS Guidelines.
