2017 Character Builder Awards

A celebration of the family who make The First Tee a success: Our participants, parents, volunteers, staff and supporters!

What is The First Tee?
The First Tee is a youth organization that teaches young people values such as respect and courtesy through the game of golf, and how those values are used not only when on the golf course, but also everywhere they go. Our classes take place at golf courses in Contra Costa, as well as schools and youth organizations in our local area.

What are The Character Builder Awards?
The Character Builder Awards are a celebration of nine youth participants from our chapter who excel and embody the Nine Core Values (Respect, Courtesy, Responsibility, Honesty, Sportsmanship, Confidence, Judgment, Perseverance, and Integrity) as well as nine community leaders who serve as role models for The First Tee Nine Healthy Habits (Mind, Vision, Community, Friends, Family, School, Mind, Play, Energy)

How can you help?

There are many ways you can help at our event! We can use help preparing and decorating the venue, assisting with checking in guests as they arrive for the evening, help greet guests and assist them in finding their table, assist with our silent auction tables, help check out guests at the end of the event, or help pack up after the stuff. You're not required to help for everything, but any help is appreciated!
