Companionship Volunteers needed in Beaver County PA

At Kindred Hospice, we are continuing to build our team of volunteers to help patients and their families when they need help the most.

Volunteers are an integral part of our philosophy. We currently have the following volunteer opportunities available:

Patient Visitor Volunteer - Provide friendly visits to hospice patients at long-term health care facilities or in their home. Give patients companionship and support through conversation, leisure activities such as playing cards or by just being a supportive presence.

Specialty Volunteers - Provide specific support including music, arts and crafts, life review videos, spiritual support and handyman help.

Professional Volunteers - Provide professional services on a volunteer basis. Examples are beautician and barber services, massage therapy, music and art therapy, etc...

Volunteers receive training appropriate to the volunteer position. Orientation is scheduled to fit your schedule. Training and on-going support are provided along with one on one hands on training with patients.

VOLUNTEERS CAN CHOOSE WHERE,WHEN AND HOW THEY SHARE THEIR TIME, TALENTS AND HEART!

Being a Kindred Hospice Volunteer requires:
Submitting an application
Passing a background check (paid for by Kindred)
Completing a tuberculosis screening (paid for by Kindred)
Successfully completing orientation.
