African Bridge Network is a community-based nonprofit with the mission to create the environment that enables the African immigrants to maximize their potentials by providing accurate and timely information on career development, networking opportunities, and career enhancement resources. ABN supports the African immigrants through a series of professional development programs like Orientation workshops, Career and Job Advising, Professional mentoring and Speaker series events.

ABN is seeking highly organized and meticulous Volunteer Program Coordinators to join our team. If you are someone who is excited about planning and organizing programs for recent immigrants, we invite you to apply for this position.

Your Duties will include the following:

  • Provide network and communication support to bridge the communication between different teams at ABN
  • Coordinate activities of volunteers engaged in developing the career development program at ABN
  • Plan, write and develop the training materials, newsletters, brochures and other communication tools appropriate for the program
  • Organize and provide administrative support in the implementation and marketing of Speaker series events at ABN
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirement:

  • Some form of College or Higher Degree

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Programs and event planning
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of a virtual office environment
  • Coordination and Organization skills
  • Able to put in 5 hours/week worth of time for the ABN team
