Seeking a chef and nutritionist to teach a series of healthy cooking classes! Cooking Matters is an amazing program that is designed to teach low-income families how to cook healthy on a budget. The class is split up in two sections, the first hour is a lesson on nutrition and the importance of healthy eating. The last hour of the class is a hands-on cooking demonstration! Cooking Matters is free to all participants and each participant is sent home with a bag of groceries that includes the exact ingredients from the demonstration so they can go home and practice their new skills! This is an amazing way to promote healthy living to the community. Everything you will need to volunteer will be provided including an instructors guide that has lessons for each week and suggested recipes! If you have anymore questions please let me know by email at kwickersham@okfoodbank.org.
