The Sun Valley Youth Center is a nonprofit youth center located in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Denver. Within this small neighborhood there are 38 different language represented, at least 20% of the community are refuges, and at least 40% are first generation immigrants. For many of our families English is their second or even third language.

At the youth center we focus on holistically meeting the needs of the children we work with. Part of working with our children is also working with their families. Many of our children's parents are in school and therefore are struggling with completing their college level assignments in English. We are looking for some volunteers that would be interested in helping tutor some of our adult parents in their various courses. Our parents have already done the hard work of getting started in college, now we want to do whatever we can to help them succeed.
