Lodestar Day Resource Center is looking for volunteer groups to participate in Campus Community Clean Up days in order to help beautify the Human Service Campus as traffic into the campus is increased during the holiday season. The generosity that comes from the community and into the Human Service Campus is always needed and appreciated. However this influx of material donations can result in an aftermath of litter that can be expensive and untimely to clean. Please consider donating your time to help clear some of this litter, cleaning and safety supplies will be provided. Volunteer groups are especially needed on Friday 11/24/17,Tuesday 12/26/17, Tuesday 1/2/17, and Friday 1/5/17, with Clean Ups running from 7am-12pm, at the Human Service Campus located at 1125 W Jackson, Phoenix,AZ 85007. Description
AS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, THE HUMAN SERVICES CAMPUS, INC. (HSC):
- Operates as the "front door" to the Campus via the Brian Garcia Welcome Center
- Is the lead agency for single adult "coordinated entry" in the Valley, which means conducting intakes and assessments for all guests.
- Connects individuals to a wide array of services guided by our HSC Navigator staff and provides matches to housing
- When possible, we conduct "diversions" from the Campus by helping connect guests with family or friends
- Provides additional hospitality resources including post office services and bag storage for Campus guests
- Maintains a safe and secure Campus environment
- Leads and fosters collaboration amongst the partner agencies to ensure our focus is ultimately about ending homelessness of our guests
