The Center for Contemporary Art is currently seeking new members of its Board of Trustees.
We are interested in adding individuals to our Board who are passionate about the arts and giving back to the community and want to help further The Center's mission: To provide a vibrant, contemporary cultural center through arts education, exhibitions and community outreach that will inspire creativity and enhance people's lives.
General board responsibilities include review and approval of financial reports, establishment of policies, fundraising for our events and promoting general awareness of The Center. Mandatory requirements for a Board member are: (1) attendance at 5 board meetings, (2) serving as a member on one Standing Committee, and (3) an annual financial dues contribution.
We are an equal opportunity employer. Applicants for all positions - paid, volunteer, full-time, part-time, and board - are considered without regard to race, creed, color, immigration status, gender, age, citizenship, disability, socioeconomic background, or sexual orientation. Candidates from historically underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Diversity is essential to our mission. This is all-encompassing, from the exhibitions and art we host the classes we teach, the programs we host, our audiences, and our staff. The Center strives to create an environment where everyone - of all races, ethnicities, ages, gender identities, sexual orientation, socioeconomic backgrounds, immigration status, and abilities - is welcome, appreciated, and where their contributions are valued.
If you are interested in serving on our Board, please contact Lisa Karbiner, Board President at firstname.lastname@example.org.
