Ezekiel Taylor 2017 Scholarship Winners
Nine of the twelve 2017 scholarship winners pose on the red carpet with foundation CEO, Tenisha Taylor, during the scholarship gala

The Ezekiel Taylor Scholarship Foundation is a 501c3 based in Chicago that awards scholarships, prizes and mentorship to African-American males who are attending, or seek to attend, a 4-year university, college, junior college, technical or trade school. Our foundation, named after the late Ezekiel Taylor who was killed by teenagers, identifies young men and provide them with opportunity. We recognize that every student is not an "A" scholar, but that every student deserves a chance. Therefore, we allow students with GPAs as low as 2.5 to apply.

We are looking to recruit new board members for 2018-2020. Our immediate needs are individuals who are experts in fundraising, procurement, program development, event planning, HR, legal, and/or marketing/social media. Our board has a fiduciary responsibility of raising funds for scholarships, and being an advocate for our mission. We meet once a month via telephone (no travel required). If you are interested in youth development, more specifically, the advancement and education of African-American males we'd like to speak with you.
