The Nicandri Nature Center is gearing up for the 2017/2018 Winter Season!
You enjoy winter? We have a monthly Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe event and plan to have other group activities too. We need trail guides for these upcoming winter events!!
Volunteer trail guides will need to attend our basic volunteer training - Volunteer 101 and become familiar with our trails.
Volunteers need to be able to manage a group of up to 25 people, be proficient on x-c skis and/or snowshoes, and help people that need assistance getting skis and snowshoes on.
And volunteers need to love to have fun and love being outdoors!!!

Through funding from the New York Power Authority, The Nature Center is able to bring free of charge programming each season to visitors of all ages in our fully accessible building. Visit us to explore nature through exhibits, freshwater tanks, staff led programs, trail adventures, to explore on your own, or just to relax in our fireplace lounge with a book from our nature collection.
