Valley Friendship Club is looking to expand their Board of Directors. Ideality this individual will have experience in Sales & Marketing, Law or nonprofit management.
Duties include:
- Terms run with the calendar year. Term is for 3 years. Members will regularly attend board meetings, prepare for, review and comment on reports and strategies.
- Board Member will attend monthly meetings of approximately 1.5 hours
- Board Member will be excused from discussions and votes where member may have a conflict of interest.
- Board Member will represent the organization work and values to the community, and act as a spokesperson and as an enthusiastic advocate for Valley Friendship Club and for all people with I/DD.
- Board Member will participate in developing the financial and volunteer resources
- Board will represent values, mission and strategic direction of Valley Friendship Club in all official and public relations capacities.
- Board Member will volunteer approximately 8-10 hours per year outside scheduled Board meetings. (ie: plan events, facilitate events, fundraise, volunteer training/recruitment, attend community functions as a representative, sit on a committee or share other talent).
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the operational structure
- Coordinate BOD recruitment and ensure BOD members are meeting the expectations of their position.
