Bringing the FUN to Fundraising!

The Environmental Science Center is hosting its annual fundraiser dinner on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at The Cove in Normandy Park, WA. Join us to create a fun and memorable evening for people interested in supporting environmental education.

We are recruiting 6-10 volunteers to help with event logistics. Below is an example of the timeline and possible tasks during the event.

  • 2-4pm Decorate and Set-up
  • 4:30-8:30pm Happy Hour, Dinner, and Program
    • Serving wine and beer (must be 21+)
    • Taking Photographs
    • Leading games and activities
    • Managing Audio/Visual components
  • 8:30-10pm Tear-down and clean-up

The Environmental Science Center promotes environmental stewardship, sustainability, and academic achievement through science based education.

Description

The Environmental Science Center fulfills its mission by delivering hands-on programming on environmental science to the community. Programs include in-school lessons with field component, after-school science clubs, summer camps, family programs, adult workshops, and community events. The new Environmental Science Center at Seahurst Park in Burien, WA allows us to expand our impact to bring awareness of environmental issues to the community. Our community in South King County is home to one of the nation's highest percentage of low-income and racially diverse. To best serve the students and families, most of our programs are provided free of charge.
