Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is embarking on a journey of engaging older adults with touchscreen tablets.
While residents and staff members at Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay work together to build a strong network of care and support, we rely on our dedicated volunteers to help maintain the positive and supportive atmosphere we have created. People from all paths of life can apply to be a Birdsong volunteer - from students to senior citizens.

The Birdsong Volunteer will teach older adults how to navigate through an engagement tablet using a software meant for older adults. Training will also be provided to all volunteers and they will be supervised. The volunteer will be closely working with the older adult, as well as their medical team, therapeutic recreation team, and family members. We understand that volunteers have busy schedules so the dates and times for the program are very flexible, including weekdays and weekends. Along with aiding your community, these hours can also count towards any community service needed.
