YWCA Family Village Issaquah is directly meeting the needs of the community members and FVI housing residents through providing parenting classes, computer education, financial planning classes, counseling services, child care, community space, and housing.
Childcare Support Volunteer will develop and lead child-appropriate activities during various resident meetings such as Resident Council Meetings, parent support groups, and other parent activities occurring on-site. This position will be as needed.
The volunteer will be allowing families to focus on their meetings and provide direct support to residents and families and staff.
The volunteer's responsibilities include: supervising children for a meeting by making sure that they are safe and engaged. Ways to engage with the children include playing, developing child-appropriate activities, and many more.
This volunteer opportunity is as needed, depending on the number of classes and meetings scheduled.
