Family Learning Day

Connecting For Good (CFG) has been providing internet connections, low-cost refurbished computers, and a variety of digital skills training lessons to Kansas City’s urban core residents for 4 years now. In 2016, thanks to a growing array of both public and private supporters, CFG expanded its computer training facilities and added new courses focused on Life Skills, Education Skills, and Career Skills. In 2017, CFG has helped the City of KCMO create the Digital Equity Strategic Plan, setting a pathway for community organizations to align their work to the City’s goals for improving the 4 E’s: Education, Employment, Economic Impact, and the Environment. Focusing on these outcomes also provides a model for financial sustainability.

We are currently looking for volunteers to teach in several community partner locations throughout Kansas City, MO. Current classes we are looking to teach are basic computer skills, internet skills, and career building skills.

If you have good communication skills, basic knowledge of computers, and can work well people in a small group setting then this is a perfect match.
