Reading Buddies
Grab a book and read with a buddy. Reading Buddies is the most fun experience in town!

Ohio State University research shows that every hour a child spends reading in our Reading Buddies program, the higher their test scores. The more reading practice a child experiences, the greater their skill level. Talk about impact!

If you have an extra hour each week to work with children, we have several Columbus Metropolitan Library locations that could use your help in the after school hours.

Do your part to solve the reading crisis in Central Ohio's schools.

The need for adult and teen support is especially strong at these branches: Driving Park, Franklinton, Hilltop, Karl Road, Gahanna, Linden, Livingston, Marion Franklin, Martin Luther King, Northern Lights, South High, Southeast, and Whitehall.
