Volunteer Manager Chair

Tasks involved in position

The Volunteer Manager supervises volunteers and provides direction, coordination, and consultation for all volunteer

  • Sits on the executive committee
  • Develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization
  • Asks departments regularly to assess needs for volunteer assistance
  • Maintain Volunteer Service Descriptions for each volunteer assignment
  • Ensure volunteers are staffed to support the various needs
  • Recommend the most efficient use of volunteers, appropriate volunteer/supervisory mix, and future workforce needs to support volunteer program operation
  • Develop and manage volunteer policies, procedures, and standards of volunteer service
  • Recruit, interview and place applicants for volunteer work
  • Work with Marketing to publicize opportunities for volunteers
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance for volunteers
  • Create and distribute various communications and publications
  • Prepares monthly Board Report and submits to Secretary prior to meeting for full board review
  • Regularly attends board meetings and important related meetings.

To raise funds for direct support for cancer research working with local hospitals in NY that have cancer research programs, We would also set up a support system for local families in NY impacted by high medical bills due to cancer and assisting in helping pay their medical bills.

With Ribbons We Fight Foundation was created to help local families in the NY area but creating fundraisers for them to help raise funds to help offset their medical bills and also help fund money to work with local hospitals on cancer research
