Mission Statement
Women's Global Initiative Foundation (WoGloGo.org) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable outreach for recent widows of suicide victims and family primary caregivers.
Description
Through our flagship initiative #GimmeABreak, we perform outreach to 1) widows of suicide victims and, 2) long-term family primary caregivers of the disabled, elderly, or chronically and terminally ill.
Our aim is to empower them to lift the veil of despair, burnout, scorn, ostracization, isolation, and numbness so they can begin to move forward, rebuild their lives, and return as valued members of their communities.
We accomplish this through forgotten acts of kindness and empowerment as simple as a giving them "day off", providing temporary outsourced foster caregiving, local resources referrals, nutritional, stress-coping, and fitness workshops, financial survival education, peer networking, advocacy with employers and medical social services, and sponsored attendance at our annual "Firebird ReTreat".
