Excel Proficient Data Clean-up Volunteer
Children's Center seeks Microsoft Excel proficient volunteer to assist with ongoing data cleanup projects using Excel. This includes removing dfuplicates, merging records, standardized spelling, abbreviations, case, formatting, etcetera. Attention to detail is strongly desired.
Excel skills should include:
-Mastery of basic formulas like CONCAT, PROPER, LOWER, etc.
-Ability to utilize advanced features of Find and Replace
-Solid grasp of pivot tables
-Understanding of data types (date, text, number, etc.)
-Ability to combine Excel and MS Word for mail merge is also desirable
We have two ongoing major projects to engage a volunteer for 6 months or more. In addition, there are regular projects which are tied to post-event data processing that occur 3 to 4 times per year. This role will primarily focus on assisting the database administrator with prepping data to be moved from one system to another. Occasional data analysis using pivot tables may be requested. Willingness to assist with additional projects like mail merge for large mailings is a plus!
