ACYS hosts an annual out reach program called TOPSoccer that is designed to allow children ages 3 and up with special needs the opportunity to play soccer with peers and volunteers regardless of ability.
TOPSoccer is completely FREE for our exceptional families but only works hand in hand with community support and volunteers (Buddies)! We pair a Buddy with a player and have them assist the player and coaches on the field with activities and games adapted to the game of soccer. Ideally, this program works best when players are paired with the same Buddy each week as it fosters friendship, confidence, and overall performance of the child. No soccer experience required to be a Buddy but smiles, a fun spirit, and energy is a must! This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and for students to earn volunteer hours. We are looking for volunteers that can commit to each session if possible.
Session Dates: Saturday, February 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2018
Session Times: 9:00am to 11:00am (Buddies arrive at 9am)
